Biography

Master Victor Teran is from Hoboken, NJ, and presently resides in Arvada, Colorado, owner of International Taekwon-Do Academy in Colorado. He is an 8th degree black belt, training under Great Grandmaster Kwan Duk Chung. Master Teran has over 42 years of martial arts training. In addition, he has trained military, private security contractors and fellow local and federal law enforcements agents.
Master Teran is a Four-Time American Martial Arts Hall of Fame inductee. Three-Time Martial Arts Hall of Honors. Actor. Fight Choreographer. Featured in three iconic martial arts books, Chuck Norris’s martial arts ‘Master’s and pioneers’ biography book. Ernie Reyes Sr and Bill “Super foot” Wallace, “Changing Lives”. Master Teran is a U.S Marine Corps Combat Veteran, served in Iraq for 10.5 years. Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. Diplomatic Private security contractor for Blackwater and Triple Canopy. Agent-in Charge; Direct hire for the U.S Department of State in the Diplomatic Security Service. Resigned in 2013 from the federal government; as AIC with the U.S. State Department after serving honorably for 17+ years. Award-Winning children’s book Author.
In addition, he is a former Ambassador for the Student Veterans of America Chapter for the American Military University. Focusing on veterans’ outreach programs, partnering with organizations like the Wounded Warrior Project; to provide mentorship and training for the wounded veterans who suffer from post-traumatic stress syndrome, chronic traumatic encephalopathy, and traumatic brain injury.
Master Teran has previously partnered with Play4Autism Foundation in New Jersey to provide training to children with autism spectrum disorder, and recently partnered with the “Dear Jack Foundation” in Colorado, who provides programs to adolescent and young adult cancer patients, survivors, and family. “This is a special project, because it is all about giving back to our community; in the belief that the opportunity to learn martial arts should be available to everyone, no matter their condition, setbacks, or limitations”.
